Four Years of Mystery
The Weekend of Mystery is the Newberry Library's smaller book fair with a focus on suspense novels. This was my favorite project there, because it gave me the opportunity to work with images from fabricated or sensationalized murder stories sold to desperate news rags of the 18th and 19th centuries. I then sampled and manipulated varieties of them, making new and even more dramatic depictions in the form of posters and postcards.
